The theme for the 2007-2008 Cookie Campaign is “Ready, Set, Go!”  It challenges girls to set goals, make decisions, learn about themselves, and exceed expectations by providing them with tools needed through a girl-focused program.

*      Council goal is 4,710, 890 boxes

*      Cookies will continue to sell for $3.00 per box

Troop Cookie Manager Training

There have been a lot of exciting changes taking place with the realignment of our new council, and the 2008 Girl Scout Cookie Sale is no different.  This year we are debuting council-wide training sessions for all Troop Cookie Managers.  There will be over 25 training sessions offered throughout Great Rivers Council, and you can choose the session that is most convenient for you.  Our goal for these council-wide training sessions is to offer consistent messaging across service unit lines and to make attending training easier on your and your family.

To register for Troop Cookie Manager Training:

  1. Find the training session that is the most convenient for you from the list

  2. Click here for the Cookie Training Registration Form

  3. Complete the registration form

  4. Press “Submit” at the bottom of the form

You will receive an email confirmation that your registration was received.  If you have any questions regarding this training registration process, please contact the Girl Scout Center at (513) 489-1025.

Background Check for Troop Cookie Managers

All troop cookie managers must be a registered member of Girl Scouts - Great Rivers Council and complete a criminal background check.  If you have not registered for the 2007-2008 membership year, please contact your troop leader about obtaining a registration form.

2008 Girl Scout Cookie Rally!

There will be a Girl Scout Cookie Rally held this January to help kick-off the 2008 Girl Scout Cookie Sale.  Mark your calendars now so your troop and their families can join us for a fun-filled evening of cookie sale excitement, activities, and a collegiate women’s basketball game.

Looking for new ways to get your girls and their families excited about the 2007-2008 Girl Scout Cookie Sale?  Check out the new website from ABC Bakers.  It has information for girls, families, and volunteers in an easy-to-use format. 

*      Girls will love the selling tips, stories from real-life top sellers, and the Catch Goals! goal-setting patch program.

*      Troop Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers can get advice on hosting a successful cookie training for their girls and families, read about ways to get the girls involved with troop goal-setting, find ideas on how to engage parents in your troop, and participate in a section called Idea Share where you can post your troop’s cookie sale ideas and success stories.

*      Parents will learn about keeping their Girl Scout safe during the cookie sale, ways to make cookie time “quality time,” and the eight key life skills their daughter can learn through the cookie sale.

*      Everyone can learn facts about their favorite Girl Scout Cookie variety, suggestions on how to incorporate Girl Scout Cookies into a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle, and use colorful Ready, Set, Go!  theme graphics for newsletters to parents, thank you cards for customers, and cookie booth posters.
